What Is Astrology?
Astrology is an ancient practice of understanding the vibrational energies of the planets in the universe. Each planet that resides in our universe sends off a different type of vibrational energy and those who reside on the earth can feel it. Energy is everywhere and it is up to everyone to understand how it affects us on a personal or universal level. There is a sense of consciousness within our planet that is growing. More people are taping into higher consciousness. With taping into this consciousness there is the effects of feeling the vibrations not only of the earth. The vibrations of energies beyond our earth atmosphere.
When you ask someone what astrology is, most people will say it is about their daily horoscope found in the newspaper. Astrology is much more then just you’re Sun Sign. True ancient astrology used by the master’s in history speaks to more then just the Sun Sign. For everyone it includes every Zodiac Sign in one wheel. The Wheel is divided into 12 Houses that contain all the planets in our Universe. Some charts even pull in Asteroids, Fixed Stars and newly discovered planets such as Quaoar and Sedna. (The universe holds all the Zodiac Signs, just as a person does).
When all these Signs, Houses and Planets are put into the wheel that is known as casting a Natal or Birth Chart. It requires a person’s information such as a Date of Birth, Time of Birth and Place of Birth. For astrology is of time and space. Where and when you were born on the Earth and within the Universe. From this chart an astrologer can depict, personality types and dispositions, soul lessons, soul gifts, the true purpose to this incarnation and karma from past incarnations.
There are many different types of Astrology as well, not just a Natal or Birth Chart. For as we grow in life and evolve our planets do as well. There are charts that consider a person’s growth in life as they age. Those charts are Progressed charts. Used in conjunction with a Natal Chart an Astrologer can tell you how you have evolved in this lifetime so far, and where you will be evolving into the future.
Along with the Natal and Progressed charts, Transit charts are also used in predictive Astrology. A transit is where the planets are now in the sky at this date and time. Transiting planets are placed in the Natal and/or Progressed charts to show an Astrologer what types of energies a person is using now and in the future. As two or more planets form aspects (a geometrical pattern) to another planet it gives us a vibration of the ease or difficulty of a situation.
One thing that everyone must be aware of is a Divine Gift that all humans have. That is FREE WILL!!! For everyone is born with Astrological traits and patterns, but we all have FREE WILL. Which is our own power of discrimination, the power to choose how we use the energy, be it positive or negative. Yes, I do believe in fate, but you have to get out of the bed in the morning for fate to work. Getting out of bed is your own free will of choice to do so.
It is of my belief that prior to our birth, our radiant Soul picks certain soul lessons. Our Soul also has many gifts in which it will tap into to learn those lessons. Many of those gifts are found within each individual’s mental, emotional and physical personalities. The lessons are also found in those areas of being, for it is part of the lesson on how to expand our growth and achieve balance in our mental, emotional and physical life.
The ultimate goal of a Soul is ascension. Which can be achieved with the understanding of what needs to be done (may I add that it may take many more lifetimes to reach ascension). To understand you must first become aware. Astrology is an Art and Science that aids people to finding the awareness of your Soul’s desire.
